Services

Conner Dentistry offers a broad range of dental services for patients of all ages and dental needs. Whether your visit is for maintaining good oral health, treating dental issues or improving your smile, our team has the necessary knowledge and experience to care for you.

Pediatric Dental Care

We enjoy caring for patients of all ages in our practice, including children. We are pleased to provide pediatric dentistry to help keep your child’s smile in good health. We encourage you to bring your child to our office every six months for a regular dental exam and cleaning. During the visit, Dr. Conner and his dental team will gently clean your child’s teeth and check for signs of dental problems such as tooth decay. Each member of our team is caring and gentle and we are certain to put your child at ease. We understand that it is important to build a positive, trusting relationship between your child and the dentist at a young age and we are dedicated to ensuring that your child feels comfortable and safe at our office. In addition to bringing your child to our office for regular check-ups, it is important that you help your child establish good oral hygiene habits at home. Teach your child to brush and floss their teeth every day and help them maintain a balanced, healthy diet. If you have any questions about your child’s dental health or oral development, we welcome you to ask us during your visit or by calling our office to learn more about pediatric dentistry and how we can care for you and your family.

Preventative Care

Your healthy smile is our priority and we highly recommend regular preventative dental care. Preventative care includes visits to our office at least once every six months for oral evaluations, professional cleanings and fluoride treatments and diagnostic x-rays. These services allow us to monitor your oral health, discuss healthy habits, help prevent new disease, and catch signs of oral health problems early. During a regular dental checkup, Dr. Conner will perform an oral exam to check for signs of decay or gum disease, abnormal tooth wear, problems with alignment or mechanics, soft tissue diseases (such as oral cancers) and more. Your friendly hygienist will provide a professional cleaning along with a fluoride application to ensure a clean, healthy and protected mouth. Preventative dental care should not be ignored. It will help you maintain your overall health and wellness as you age and save you time, money and potential discomfort by avoiding serious dental disease. Please call our office today to reserve time for your preventative dental care.

Periodontal Care

Gum disease, also called periodontal disease, is a degenerative condition primarily caused by bacteria found in plaque. This may cause periodontal pockets which are spaces or opening surrounding the teeth under the gum line which can become filled with infection-causing bacteria. If left untreated, periodontal disease can result in bone loss, tooth loss and gum tissue recession. If your gums are swollen, red and/or tender, or if your gums bleed easily, you may have periodontal disease. Other common symptoms of gum disease can include loose teeth, painful chewing, persistent bad breath and receding gums that make your teeth appear longer than normal. Following an exam at our office, Dr. Conner and his team will be able to determine whether you suffer from periodontal disease. Conner Dentistry provides a variety of treatments for gum disease based on your specific needs. These treatments include scaling and root planning, routine monitoring of periodontal pockets and periodontal maintenance cleanings. We recommend visits at least every six months. Based on the severity of the gum disease, we may recommend periodontal maintenance cleanings every three to four months along with improved at-home oral hygiene, antibiotic treatment or referral for gum surgery. We strive to help you restore your oral health and halt the progress of the disease. For more information, contact our office today to reserve your appointment. We look forward to caring for your smile.

Examining an X-ray

Digital
X-Rays

Digital x-rays are one of the advanced diagnostic tools we use to provide you with the best possible dental care. Digital radiography has changed the way we take dental x-rays by making the process faster, more comfortable and more convenient than ever before. Digital x-rays use a digital sensor to take images of your teeth with significantly less radiation than conventional film x-rays and do not require the use of chemicals for developing. Dr. Conner and the dental team can instantly view the high-quality images on monitors right in the treatment room with you to provide efficient, accurate diagnosis and care. Digital x-rays help enable us to identify and diagnose several types of dental problems such as: Decay in between teeth Developmental abnormalities Improper tooth root positioning Cysts and abscesses Fractures in existing fillings Tumors Infection in the tooth nerves Bone loss We may also use digital x-rays to plan certain kinds of dental treatment such as oral surgery procedures, root canal treatment, dental implants and more. Conner Dentistry also offers 3D dental scans known as Cone Beam Computed Tomography or CBCT. These scans are used in some dental offices to get a 360-degree view of your teeth and gums. It can capture images of the tissues, nerves, and bone structure inside your mouth all in a matter of seconds. 3D dental imaging uses an x-ray arm that rotates around your head. While rotating, it captures multiple, crystal clear images and accurate measurements which are then sent to a computer where the computer puts the images together in 3D format. Dr. Conner can get a very clear and concise picture of things that you cannot see with the naked eye, which makes it easier for him to safely diagnose and even customize your treatment. These scans can even be used in early detection of dental conditions which could save you a lot of appointments in the long run. 3D dental scans can also be used when planning for surgery, evaluating the jaw or sinuses and even reconstructive surgery such as dental implants.

Restorative

Oral Surgery

Oral surgery includes a number of surgical dental treatments. The goal of oral surgery is to improve the function, health, and appearance of your smile and the surrounding structures, such as your jaw. In many cases, we strive to provide the most conservative treatment possible. Oral surgery options may include: Tooth extraction (for teeth that are decayed, damaged, or infected to the point that effective restoration is impossible) Wisdom teeth removal (for wisdom teeth that are impacted or have grown in at an incorrect angle) Implant placement (for replacement of missing teeth or bridge retention provided patient meets qualifications necessary for success) Based on your personal dental needs and goals, Dr. Conner may recommend surgical services. While we provide some oral surgery treatments in our office, we also work closely with local oral surgeons and specialists to ensure that you receive the high-quality results you deserve. Dr. Conner will carefully evaluate your smile and your dental needs to determine whether oral surgery is the best available treatment for you. Dental Implants

A dental implant is a small post, usually made of titanium that serves as a substitute for the root of the tooth. It is becoming the gold standard for replacing missing teeth or holding dentures in place. With the advancement of 3D technology, implants are becoming the best, predictable choice for treatment, having an average lifespan of 40 years and a success rate of 97%. Be sure to ask us about setting up a consultation with Dr. Conner.

Prosthodontics
Dentures, Bridges,
etc

Dentures are removable oral appliances used to replace multiple missing teeth. If you are missing several teeth or all of your teeth, Dr. Conner may recommend partial or complete dentures to restore the function, beauty and health of your smile. There are two kinds of dentures: A PARTIAL DENTURE is used if you are missing multiple teeth but have remaining natural teeth. This appliance often includes a thin framework with clasps that attach to the natural teeth for a secure fit. A COMPLETE DENTURE is used to replace all of the teeth in a full arch. We may suggest a complete denture to replace all of the teeth in both arches or just one, depending on your individual needs. We may suggest using a denture adhesive for improved stability. Dentures can improve your ability to properly speak and eat, restore your natural facial volume and enhance the overall beauty of your smile. Your dentures will be custom made to fit your smile comfortably, aesthetically and securely. We invite you to call or visit us soon to learn more about how dentures can improve your smile!
